Docklands Studios Melbourne

Docklands Studios Melbourne is a new purpose-built studio complex, completed in 2004. The studio is a fully integrated complex, comprising five state-of-the-art sound stages ranging in size from 743 sq metres (8,000 sq ft) to 2,323 sq metres (25,000 sq ft).
Ausfilm Member since 2003

Each stage houses production support facilities, including make-up, dressing rooms and storage on its ground floor.  The upper floors house self-contained production offices.  The stages are supported by a 6,680 sq metre (69,448 sq ft) workshop building comprising eight different sized bays that are ideal for set construction, props manufacture, costume and storage.  The lot is secure with plenty of parking and ample space for outdoor set construction.

Large enough to accommodate one of the biggest mini-series in history (The Pacific), Docklands Studios Melbourne has hosted a variety of projects in its short history: from international feature films to domestic television.  The studio is conveniently located near Melbourne’s film and television precinct, home to many of the city’s production houses, equipment suppliers and post-production facilities.
